OUR PURPOSE

Holding what cannot be held

When a person is gone, we are left with
everything we knew of them, gathered into
memory. STONLIF makes urns for that
gathering. Each one is shaped by hand, finished
slowly, and built to feel as still and dignified as
the moment it serves.

OUR ORIGIN

The Heart Behind The Name

STONLIF stands for the Starting of New Life. We chose this name because grief is not where the story ends — it is where a new way of carrying someone begins.

THE ARTISTRY

Made by Hand. Made to Last

Each STONLIF vessel passes through many
hands before it reaches yours. In our workshop
in Nagina, India — a place with a century-old
heritage of fine woodworking — we work in small
batches with artisans who understand the weight
of their task.
From the first cut of the grain to the final hand
polish, no detail is overlooked. We test every
seal; we inspect every curve. Nothing leaves our
workshop until it carries the quiet dignity it
should.
The result is a vessel that doesn’t just hold
memory — it endures. It is built to stand through
the years on a mantelpiece, an altar, or
wherever your family gathers to remember.

OUR ARTISANS

The Hands Behind The Work

Every STONLIF urn is touched by people, not machines. The wood is selected by craftsmen who have spent decades reading grain. The metalwork is finished by hands that know how heavy a thing should feel. The carving, the lining, the closing — all of it is done with patience that mass production cannot afford. We work with our artisans the way we hope you will keep these pieces: with care, and for a long time.
OUR COMMITMENTS
Made With Care. Built to Outlast Us.
A vessel made for memory should be made with care, not waste. Where possible, we choose woods from sustainably managed forests, brass from recycled sources, and finishes free of harmful chemicals. We work in small batches because rushing this work would dishonour it. Every piece is built to be passed on — heirloom, not landfill.

Words From Families

These are the people we’ve been quietly trusted by. We don’t take it lightly.
